Let's save this world

I have few words to say which can help in saving this world. Please feel free for suggestions to add/modify in this post

  1. Use recycled paper: Use recycled paper. Making a ton of paper from recycled stock saves up to 17 trees and uses 50 per cent less water.

  1. Avoid short car journey: Avoid short car journeys. A cold engine uses almost twice as much fuel as a warmer one. Use public transport, ride a bicycle or walk.

  1. Fix the leak: Catching a toilet leak at its earliest stage can save a lot of water. Even a silent leak can waste from 30 to 500 gallons of water per day.

  1. Go veg to save the world: Go vegetarian. To produce a kilogram of beef, it takes, on average, 10 kg of grain and 680 litres of water.

  1. Heat water in electric kettle: Use an electric kettle to heat water. It's more energy efficient and consumes half the energy your stove takes.

  1. Unplug equipment once fully charged: Unplug equipment once fully charged. Mobile phones, shavers and electric products keep drawing electricity even when the battery is full.

  1. Buy energy electrical appliances: Buy energy efficient electrical appliances. One of the easiest ways to save money on your electricity bills whilst being environmentally friendly.

Best PC-Illusions -- Don't miss

This is without a doubt one of the best PC-Illusions, I have seen so far.

Follow the instructions:

1. Relax and concentrate on the 4 small dots in the middle of the picture for about 30-40 seconds
2. Then, take a look at a wall near you (any smooth, single coloured surface)
3. You will see a circle of light developing
4. Start blinking your eyes a couple of times and you will see a figure emerging
5. What do you see? Moreover, whom do you see?

I tried this a couple of times, to reconfirm… unbelievable!

Poem "African Kid"

This poem was nominated by UN as the best poem of 2006, Written by an "African Kid"

When I born, I black
When I grow up, I black
When I go in Sun, I black
When I scared, I black
When I sick, I black
And when I die, I still black

And you white fellow
When you born, you pink
When you grow up, you white
When you go in sun, you red
When you cold, you blue
When you scared, you yellow
When you sick, you green
And when you die, you gray
And you calling me colored??

How it is?

The Way To Live.. Coffee with friend

This is a small story which remind you the priorities of your life. I hope you all will like it.

A professor stood before his Philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, wordlessly, he picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.

The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous "yes."

The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table and poured the entire contents into the jar, effectively filling the empty space between the sand. The students laughed.

"Now," said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that
this jar represents your life. "The golf balls are the important things - your God, family, your children, your health, your friends, and your favorite passions - things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full.

"The pebbles are the other things that matter like your job, your house, and your car. "The sand is everything else--the small stuff. If you put the sand into the jar first, there is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls."

"The same goes for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

"Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.
Play with your children.
"Take time to get medical checkups.
"Take your partner out to dinner.
"Play another 18.
"There will always be time to clean the house and fix the disposal.
"Take care of the golf balls first, the things that really matter.
"Set your priorities.

"The rest is just sand." One of the students raised her hand and inquired what the coffee represented. The professor smiled. "I'm glad you asked.

"It just goes to show you that no matter how full your life may seem,
there's always room for a cup of coffee with a friend."

Wow!! what he has taught with the example. Superb!! Isn't it?
